Hi, my name is Kate Ostrem and I invite you to consider a world where we embrace the present moment more fully and view ourselves and others with compassion. An Enneagram coach and educator, I am certified with Anne Mureé and have studied with some of the most prominent thought leaders in the Enneagram community, including Ginger Lapid-BogdaRuss Hudson, Helen Palmer, Jerry Wagner and Beatrice Chestnut. I am an Associate Member of the Enneagram in Business Network and a former board member of the Minnesota Chapter of the International Enneagram Association. I attended St. Olaf College and have sixteen years of experience working in fundraising, communications and marketing.

I created my business, 9 Open Doors, in order to share the wisdom of the Enneagram in a practical, down-to-earth way. Working with teams in organizations and directly with individuals, I love helping my clients better understand themselves and others. From a conference in New Zealand to teams in corporate environments to a few close friends in a backyard and everything between, I teach the Enneagram in a meaningful way for every audience.

My interest in the Enneagram began in 2008 when I attended a workshop led by Anne Mureé at a Camp du Nord women's retreat in northern Minnesota. I have always been interested in different tools that explain personality types, but especially appreciate the Enneagram for its richness and how it accommodates the wide variety of human nature.

The name 9 Open Doors came from a friend and felt right immediately. Understanding our type and seeing how it works in our life allows its grip on us to loosen. We then realize that we don't need to be defined by our type; in fact, all types are available to us, like open doors.

When I'm not sharing my passion for the Enneagram, I spend time with my family, read somewhat obsessively, can be competitive about completing puzzles (sorry, kids), do yoga and try to limit myself to two chais a week.

Oh, and Enneagram type? I'm a 3.
